About ASK Studio

Clay, colour and form

At ASK Studio, ideas are allowed to grow at their own pace. It might become a bowl with an uneven rim, a vase inspired by a seed pod, or a small animal with an expression entirely of its own.

I like the personal and slightly unexpected. That is why every piece keeps its own shape, texture and character.

The ceramics

What I make

The range varies and keeps developing. There are pieces to use every day, and smaller objects that simply exist to make someone happy.

Bowls and dishes

Bowls and dishes in different shapes, sizes and glazes. Made to be used, but also to take their place on the table.

Decorations and Christmas ornaments

For autumn and winter I make candle lanterns, Christmas tree ornaments and playful decorations inspired by nature. Mushrooms, acorns, pomegranates and fir trees are especially popular. Often with metallic and golden glazes that feel extra festive at Christmas and by candlelight.

For the garden

Ceramic decorations made to move outdoors among flowers, leaves and greenery.

Animals and Soothlings

Small animals with different expressions and personalities. Here you will also find Soothlings, small figures that are lovely to hold when children or grown-ups need help settling down, during a reading moment for example.

About the craft

Every piece becomes its own

I work in stoneware clay and like to try different shapes, textures and glaze combinations. The result varies from piece to piece. That is part of what I love about ceramics: nothing turns out quite identical to anything else.

Markets

Meet ASK Studio

Now and then I bring the ceramics to markets and other events. There you can see and feel the pieces, and discover things that have not yet made it onto the website.
